This Marketplace Rules page is placeholder / demo content prepared for SiteCycle's development build. It has not been reviewed by an attorney and must be reviewed by qualified legal counsel before any real production launch or use with live customers.1. What This Marketplace Is For
SiteCycle exists to move usable surplus construction material between contractors before it hits the dumpster — not as a waste-disposal channel and not as a way to move material that doesn't belong on a jobsite in the first place. Listings should be for material that is genuinely usable for its stated purpose. SiteCycle is not a substitute for proper waste hauling, demolition disposal, or hazardous material handling, and listing material here does not exempt any buyer or seller from applicable DOB, fire code, or other regulatory compliance requirements on their project.
2. Ownership & Authority to Sell
Every seller attests, at the time a listing is published, that they or their company owns the material or has authority to sell or transfer it. SiteCycle relies on this attestation and audits it; listings and accounts found to violate it are subject to removal and suspension. See our Terms of Service and Seller Guidelines for more detail.
3. Prohibited & Restricted Materials
Certain categories of material are prohibited or restricted from being listed on SiteCycle. Rather than repeat that list here, see the full, current Prohibited Materials page. It is every seller's responsibility to review that list before publishing a listing.
4. Listing Integrity
Each listing requires its own attestation of ownership/authority to sell, and attestations are audited. Duplicate or spam listings, deliberately misleading descriptions or photos, and fake or incentivized reviews are prohibited.
5. Why Stay On-Platform
We don't police every conversation between a buyer and seller, but we're direct about why keeping a transaction on SiteCycle is worth it: payment protection through our escrow-style hold-until-pickup-confirmed flow, verified company profiles on both sides of the deal, a permanent transaction record for your files, and access to the in-app dispute process if something goes wrong. Taking a deal fully off-platform gives up all of that. Attempting to use SiteCycle purely to find a counterparty and then circumvent the platform to avoid the transaction fee is discouraged and, where it involves misuse of contact information obtained through the platform, may be treated as a violation of these rules.
6. Account Integrity
Creating multiple accounts to evade a suspension, impersonating another company, or otherwise misrepresenting who you are or who you work for is prohibited.
7. Enforcement
SiteCycle administrators have the authority to review, edit visibility of, or remove listings, and to warn, suspend, or terminate accounts, for violations of these rules. Depending on severity and history, enforcement may range from a warning, to listing removal, to temporary or permanent account suspension.
8. Reporting a Violation
If you see a listing or account that appears to violate these rules, use the in-app flag/report option on the listing, message, or profile, or contact SiteCycle support through your account dashboard.
